Steve Stenersen

Steve Stenersen
President and CEO

After serving as Executive Director of US Lacrosse since the organization's inception in 1998, Steve's official title changed to President and CEO in 2008. As such, he serves as the chief staff executive and reports to the organization's 33-member national Board of Directors, which sets organizational policy and strategic direction. Steve is also the chief staff executive for the US Lacrosse Foundation, an independent non-profit organization governed by a 21-member Board of Directors, the mission of which is to provide greater financial resources to support US Lacrosse operations. Prior to his current position, Steve served as Executive Director of the Lacrosse Foundation from 1984 until the organization merged with seven other national bodies to form US Lacrosse.

A native of Baltimore, Steve began playing lacrosse at St. Paul's School before attending the University of North Carolina, where he received his undergraduate degree in journalism. He was a member of two national championship teams at UNC in 1981 and 1982. Steve completed his playing career at the Mt. Washington Club in 1990.

 

 Bill Schoonmaker
Chief Operating Officer

Bill joined the US Lacrosse staff in 2008, and has primary responsibility in managing the organization's internal operations and overseeing the marketing, communications and sport development properties. Bill came to US Lacrosse after serving as vice president of client partnerships at LeadDog Marketing Group. Prior to that position, he was vice president and management director for 361 Sports + Event Marketing. Bill is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and was a four-year letterman with the Nittany Lion's lacrosse team.

Jody Martin

Jody Martin
Men's Division Director

A member of the US Lacrosse staff since 1994, Jody is responsible for directing all aspects of Men's Division activity for US Lacrosse. The Charlottesville, Va. native graduated from Denison University in 1980, and then worked at Baltimore’s Gilman School as a history teacher, lacrosse coach and athletic director until 1992. In 1994, Martin began work at the Lacrosse Foundation as the Director of Membership and Chapters and was a critical part of the US Lacrosse formation committee until its establishment in 1998. Since then, Martin has been the first and only US Lacrosse Men's Division Director.

Ann Kitt Carpenetti

Women's Division Director

A member of the US Lacrosse staff since 2004, Ann is responsible for directing all aspects of Women's Division activity. She is the primary staff liaison with the Women's Division councils and committees, and provides broad perspective and counsel to the division's leadership on issues and strategies. Prior to joining US Lacrosse, Ann spent eight years working in Washington, D.C. on behalf of several national non-profit organizations, including the National Partnership for Women & Families and the National Women's Health Network. She most recently served as a director of government affairs & constituency outreach for the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance.

Cara Morris

Cara Morris
Managing Director, Finance

A member of the US Lacrosse staff since 2000, Cara has been responsible for the management of many various departments at USL during her tenure. Currently, her primary focus is Finance as well as the oversight of the Information Technology department. Cara has a Masters degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, and has over 20 years of accounting and financial management experience working for companies within the retailing and manufacturing industries prior to joining US Lacrosse.

Joshua Christian

Joshua Christian
Managing Director, Programs & Services

A member of the US Lacrosse staff since 1998, Joshua is responsible for the management of the Sport Development and Special Events departments as well as the Lacrosse Museum & National Hall of Fame. Prior to joining US Lacrosse, Joshua worked in the Exhibit department of the National Museum of Natural History at the Smithsonian Institution.

Glen Schorr

Glen Schorr
Managing Director, Marketing & Branding

A member of the US Lacrosse staff since 2004, Glen is responsible for the management of the Chapter Services, Communications, Financial Development, and Marketing Departments. Prior to joining US Lacrosse, Glen accumulated over 20 years of marketing and marketing communications experience working for companies including Black & Decker and DDB Needham.

Sarah Oglesby
Director of Special Events

Sarah returned to US Lacrosse on a full-time basis in 2006 to serve as director of special events after initially working with the organization as the coordinator of the 2005 IFWLA World Cup. In her current role, she heads the department that is responsible for planning and coordinating all national US Lacrosse events, including but not limited to, the National Hall of Fame Ceremony, the Women's Division National Tournament, the Youth Festivals and the National Convention.

Erin Sturgis
Director of Chapter Relations

Erin started in Membership in 2003, then briefly transitioned to the Technology Department before becoming Director of Chapter Relations in October 2005. Erin is the primary contact for 60 USL chapters nationwide and staff liaison to the Chapters Advisory Council. She attended and played soccer and lacrosse at the College of Notre Dame and is currently a post collegiate club player.

Brian Logue

Brian Logue
Director of Communications

Brian joined the US Lacrosse staff in 2000 and is responsible for the oversight of US Lacrosse's communications efforts. The communications department is responsible for numerous publications, including Lacrosse magazine, which has a circulation over 225,000, and two web sites to help promote the sport. Prior to joining US Lacrosse, Brian spent 14 years working in public relations and publications for Washington and Lee University and the University of Delaware.

Kira Muller

Kira Muller
Director of Advertising

Kira, a former employee of the Lacrosse Foundation since 1988, handled programs and services, special events, and marketing before becoming the director of advertising in 1998. She is responsible for soliciting, securing and placing advertisements in all US Lacrosse publications, including Lacrosse magazine, www.laxmagazine.com and special event programs. A mother of four active youth players, she works part-time for US Lacrosse and can be reached in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

   

Dominic Mezzanotte
Director of Information Technology

Dominic joined the US Lacrosse staff in 2006 and manages all computer and network functions of the organization. In addition, he develops and implements membership technology. A former collegiate player, Dominic also coaches lacrosse on the high school and youth level and has a son and daughter who are active in the game.
